Darran currently works as University of Birmingham’s Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, providing high level S&C services to national and international standard elite scholar athletes. He also works with the national league men’s and women’s hockey team which is also an England U21 Hockey National Performance Centre. Darran is also the West Midlands Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach for TASS, providing S&C support for up to 51 rising athletes covering some 33 sports!
Darran is a UKSCA and NSCA accreditated strength & conditioning coach, who has a BSc(hons) Sport & Exercise Science from Bath University and is currently completing a MSc in Sports Therapy. Previous professional experience includes working as Head Strength & Conditioning coach for Hartlepool United FC and Durham University for 3 years. He also worked at Wasps RUFC during the successful Heineken Cup winning season in 2006/7.
